Honing Precision Bores

About Honing

Honing produces a precision surface on the ID of a machined part.  The process is primarily used to improve the geometric form of a surface, but may improve surface texture or finish. High-precision parts are usually ground then honed.  Grinding determines the size and honing improves the shape.


Size:              0.175" to 3" bores (Max length 15")

Tolerance:   +/- .0002

Finishes:      4Ra or better
